A consultancy firm launches a new innovative property information system in Nairobi.
Hass Consult has unveiled a ‘live’ property price research app called My Hass Data. This has been driven by expansion in its data collection for the Hass property price indices, which now includes real-time price geo-mapping.
“We have in recent months moved to a new level of data collection on property pricing and development, mapping every building in Nairobi, and including data collection on commercial, retail and non-retail properties,” said Ms Sakina Hassanali, Head of Marketing and Research at Hass Consult.
The new data sets include data lines on planning applications, purchase dates and historical pricing data. This is according to Sakina Hassanali of HassConsult, speech during the launch of MyHass Data in Nairobi.
The Data App will allow users to research prices by suburb, street, size of property, and type, as well as rate of sales and vacancies.
According to Ms Hassanali, the application is expected be a best-in-class tool for any organization or individual needing market information.
Kenyan property market is now a mature sector, and high returns rest on standard research and demand. She explains further that developers are losing money, while those who investigated the market more thoroughly get high returns
